Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures. Instruct apprentices. Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas. Assemble tower cranes on site. Help medical examiner in charge. Operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side. Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels. Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move and place equipment and materials. Pave and rake asphalt. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits at open pit mines.
