Responsibilities
Tasks

Help pharmacists
-
Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products

Prepare medications for clients

Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear

Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages
-
Plan menus and diet for individuals or groups under direction of dietition or nutritionist
-
Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
-
Help patients complete menus
-
Advise patients on loss of depth perception
-
Assist chiropractor with physical examinations
-
Perform general clerical duties
-
Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
-
Advise patients on care and use of ocular prostheses
-
Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments

Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment
-
Consult with ophthalmologists concerning insertion of ocular prostheses

Order supplies and equipment

Schedule and confirm appointments
