Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Order supplies and equipment. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas. Manage kitchen operations. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Supervise and check assembly of trays. Prepare food order summaries for chef. Establish methods to meet work schedules. Establish work schedules.
