Reporting to the Executive Culinary Leader, the Line Cook will be responsible for creating and executing various dishes to standard in a restaurant setting. Excellent hand-eye coordination and a wealth of culinary knowledge is required.
*What You?ll Do*
? Create an environment that is warm, welcoming and filled with positivity for guests and employees
? Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
? Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparingsauces)
? Prepare station for service, complete mise en place and stock list
? Prepare and cook dishes during service in a high paced and detail-oriented kitchen
? Prepare all assigned menu items in an efficient, consistent and timely manner
? Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
? Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef?s instructions
? Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
*What You?ll Need*
? 1-2 years line cook experience in commercial kitchen environment for Japanese cuisine preferred
? Completion of high school
? Exude positivity and possess a welcoming and an enthusiastic attitude
? Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
? Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
? Ability to work independently as well as within a team
? Strong attention to detail
? Have extensive knowledge on cooking temperatures and general food safety regulations

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
* Overtime
* Weekends as needed
Education:
* Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
* Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
* English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Food Handler Certification (preferred)
* Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
