Job details
Education: Master's degree. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Adjust their designs to conform to limiting factors such as budget allocation and cost of materials. Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered. Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons. Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects. Negotiate contracts with clients with a focus on design, construction time, price or others. Participate in contract negotiations. Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction. Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons. Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules. Construction site supervision. Prepare sketches and models. Perform architectural research . Conduct feasibility studies of building projects. Estimate costs. Proposal preparation. Tender and administer contracts. Interior design (general). Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects.
