*Position Details: Part time, full time and casual roles*
*Compensation: *$63.00-69.00 per hour, plus overtime at 2x.
*Job description:*
* Performs nursing assessments within the scope of practice of a registered nurse.
* Plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise nursing care to residents, including some high risk medication administration.
* Based on the assessments, contribute to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care, including attending and providing input to the multidisciplinary care team and family at scheduled care conferences.
* Process new admits and discharges
* Ability to administer oral, transdermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications including PRN medication in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures.
* Provide work direction by assigning and delegating tasks to staff while supervising LPN and HCA team members.
* Perform nursing procedures and interventions and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the procedures and interventions.
* Maintain a safe environment for residents, significant others, and staff by adhering to established health and safety policies, standards and procedures including emergency procedures and infection control guidelines.
* Report to and perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Care.
*Qualifications:*
* Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
* Graduate of recognized school of nursing.
* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
* Certificate of Geriatric Nursing or previous experience _(preferred)_
* 1 year RN experience in Canada _(preferred)_
