The Loyan Foundation is a grassroots, community-based registered Canadian charitable organization that is committed to addressing issues of violence in the East African community through a wide range of programs and services that promote and support a more vibrant, healthy, and resilient community.
At the Loyan Foundation, we believe in reducing exposure to violence by building a more united, safer, and stronger East African community. Through effective outreach, education and collaboration we empower and support East African youth and their families to learn how to live healthy and successful lives.
*What you will do*
* Support with the coordination of Loyan Foundation Foodbank
* Complete research training and onboarding
* Create social media posts and loyan social media calender for loyan Foundation
* Put together a list of funders focusing on their mission, vision, priorities and focus areas
* Complete experiential learning training.
* Conduct environmental scan on post frequencies for community organizations in Toronto and GTA and provide recommendations for social media posting frequency and content for loyan foundation
* Support with research on innovative research food programs internationally and share findings with the team.
* Attend forums and events focused on food accessibility in Toronto and take notes.
* Leverage Vertex AI and Microsoft copilot to support the content calendar schedule.
* Attend weekly meetings and check-in with staff.
* Create a summary report along with recommendations.

* Relevant experience on how to use AI softwares for in supporting social media content schedule.
* Reference letter
* Experience developing research proposals.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong note-taking skills and interpersonal skills.
* Strong time management and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Creative and analytical and enjoys writing.
* Strong teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work independently on projects.
* Constantly demonstrates a professional attitude.
* Familiar with zoom and google meets.
* Strong demonstrated ability to project meet deadlines.
