Job details
Busy medical clinic urgently seeking for a part-time professional, and friendly Medical Receptionist.
Successful applicants will have:
* Completion of Medical Office Assistant Program
* Minimum of 1 year work experience (required), providing high degree of patient care.
* Experience or knowledge of medical billing is preferred.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of multitasking and personable skills.
* Experience with PS Suite EMR (Telus) or equivalent is an asset.
* Ability to learn and work with Mac computers is an asset.
* Reliable method of transportation (required).
* Schedule flexibility with days and some evenings preferred.
Duties related to patient care include, but not limited to:
* Greeting patients and visitors.
* Accurately check-in patients by obtaining complete and accurate patient demographics.
* Ensuring completion of the patient registration process and assigning it to the correct doctor
* Maintaining attention to detail while managing patient records and needs.
* Answering phones (with a level of professionalism and efficiency)
* Booking, canceling and rescheduling patient appointments
* Calling patients with important, health information
* Answering messages
* Filling exam rooms
* Assisting physicians with patient exams and testings
* Faxing, sorting/distributing paperwork, scanning
* Sorting/distributing incoming mail and lab reports.
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
* Restocking exam rooms and inventory
* Other assigned tasks as needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 ? 30 per week
