*Overview:*
We are seeking a skilled Social & Events Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, planning and executing a wide range of events, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional stakeholder experiences.
*Responsibilities:*
* Develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive event functions for NUGSS, including venue selection, budget management, logistical arrangements, and staffing oversight.
* Manage event budgets with meticulous financial oversight, ensuring accurate forecasting and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
* Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating NUGSS events to meet organizational objectives effectively.
* Coordinate logistical details such as venue selection, catering, AV requirements, signage, special accommodations, and security measures.
* Collaborate closely with the NUGSS Board of Directors, internal staff, Student-Led Organizations (SLOs), UNBC departments, external vendors, and clients to define event requirements and ensure seamless execution.
* Uphold compliance with policies, by-laws, and regulations throughout all event phases to mitigate risks and maintain organizational integrity.
* Provide detailed quarterly event reports to the NUGSS OM and GM, reflecting on past events and outlining future plans.
* Engage with sponsors and organizing committees to align event scope and format with organizational strategies and community interests.
* Document event progress and generate comprehensive reports to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
* Develop promotional materials and campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and effective communication of event goals and outcomes.
* Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support event operations and ensure efficient task execution.
* Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships to foster long-term partnerships and enhance event outcomes.
* Track financial metrics, maintain accurate records, and conduct thorough analysis to inform strategic decision-making and optimize budget allocations.
* Support strategic marketing initiatives for NUGSS events, collaborating with management and staff to implement effective promotional strategies.
* Promote Thirsty Moose Pub and Degrees Coffee Co. events through diverse marketing channels to maximize visibility and attendance.
* Contribute to Council for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion campaigns, aligning with organizational commitments to inclusivity.
* Communicate information about NUGSS services through various outreach methods to ensure student engagement and awareness.
* Manage and update the NUGSS website and social media platforms to provide timely event information and maintain community engagement.
* Evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness using data analytics and attendee feedback to drive continuous improvement.
* Maintain up-to-date contact information for SLOs and uphold rigorous health and safety standards during all events.
* Ensure strict adherence to company policies and Equity Standards across all operational activities to foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
* Other duties as assigned by the Management Team.

* Positive, motivated demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with stakeholders.
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive, independent work approach.
* Experience in event management, financial oversight, and marketing.
* Creative thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.
* Upheld high standards of health, safety, and compliance in previous roles.
* Leadership experience is preferred.
* Located in the Prince George area and available to physically work both on and off campus.
