Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide compassionate care and assistance to children and youth with mental health issues and special needs. This role involves working in various settings such as long-term care facilities, hospital/ clinic etc
Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Ensure residents' rights and dignity are respected at all times
- Provide support with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Implement care plans and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and Elders
- Support clients.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of global developmental delays and mental heath issues.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy principles
- Experience in managing challenging behaviors
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care
- Valid driver's license for transportation needs with reliable vehicle and 2 million car insurance
- First aid certification is a plus CPR and CPI

* Completion of a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
* Valid driver?s license and access to a reliable vehicle (may be required).
* Formal education and experience about children and youth with global developmental delays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 ? 30 per week
Schedule:
* Day shift
* Evening shift
* Night shift
* On call
* Overnight shift
* Weekends as needed
Education:
* High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
* Childcare: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
* First Aid Certification (Required)
* CPR Certification (Required)

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 ? 40 per week
