*Role and Responsibilities:*
· Review financial statements, corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, T5013 Partnership Returns, T3 Trust Returns, T4/T4A/NR4/T5 Information Slips, T5001 Tax Shelter Slips, GST and EHT Returns, ETD calculations, WSIB calculations.
· Review of client engagements files.
· Maintain excellent client relationships.
· Manage multiple engagements.
· Respond to information requests from clients and tax authorities.
· Schedule team members for engagements, including preparing long-range schedule and updating current schedule.
· Develop course of action, including coordination of start dates, planning and completion of engagements.
· Assist Associates and Senior Associates in planning engagements, preparing budgets, including assessing risk, suggesting procedures and guidance regarding approach.
· Communicate engagement issues to relevant team members.
· Communicate with clients with respect to all aspects of the engagement such as, documentation requirements, timing, tax balance owing, and billing.
· Supervise and monitor fieldwork, including guidance on executing audit procedures, dealing with problems, and technical assistance.
· Train and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Co-op students.
· Conduct annual performance review with team.
· Review file timelines and draft invoices for billing.
· Meet billable target hours.
*Requirements*:
· Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
· 1-2 years of experience managing a team of Professionals within the Public Accounting
· industry.
· Experience with T1, T2, T3 and other tax forms mandatory.
· Strong technical background in Canadian Income Tax.
· Experience with CaseWare, and CCH (Tax Prep) considered an asset.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to take initiative and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment characterized by changing priorities.
· Experience using Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
