*About the Position*
Reporting to Financial Controller, the Account Manager oversees all day-to-day accounting and reporting activities for residential projects. This role requires the candidate to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a variety of accounting and related activities and tight deadlines, including but not limited to daily accounting transactions, financial reporting, and supporting budget, proforma, and reforecast activities. Working collaboratively with other team members across the organization is essential for success in this role.
*Key Responsibilities*
- *Daily Accounting Transactions*: Oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting activities related to residential projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- *Financial Reporting*: Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, including month-end and year-end close processes, to ensure accurate reflection of the financial status of residential projects.
- *Budget Support*: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.
- *Proforma and Reforecast Activities*: Support the development and maintenance of proforma statements and reforecasting activities, providing accurate financial projections and analysis.
- *Collaboration*: Work collaboratively with team members across various departments to gather necessary information, resolve issues, and ensure cohesive and efficient financial operations.
- *Compliance*: Ensure all financial practices adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- *Process Improvement*: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- *Audit Support*: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- *Variance Analysis*: Perform variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual results and budgeted or forecasted amounts.
- *Documentation and Record-Keeping*: Maintain organized and thorough documentation of all financial transactions and reports, ensuring easy access and retrieval for audit and review purposes.
- *Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis*: Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management to support decision-making processes.
- *Team Support*: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
*Qualifications*
You?re a fit for the role of *Account Manager *if your background includes:
- A university degree in accounting, business, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of account manager experience in the real estate development or construction industry
- CPA designation preferred
- Strong team player and leader
- Excellent organizational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong accounting software skills (QuickBooks) and high proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
- Ability to start as soon as possible
