JOB SUMMARY: <p>Oneida Nation of the Thames is a First Nations Settlement located near the City of London, Ontario. Standing Stone School offers FDK through Grade 6 programming for 190 students. As part of the educational support team at Standing Stone School, the SSS Educational Assistant will provide one-on-one or group educational, socio-emotional, or mental health supports. The SSS Educational Assistant will also assist in application of specialized environments and learning strategies for those students requiring varying levels of additional support. <p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: <p><p> Must have a Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma OR equivalent;<p> Significant related work experience and/or specialized training specific to the needs of the identified student(s); i.e., sign language, applied behaviour analysis, Indigenous land-based learning strategies; <p> Post-Secondary Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Social Service Worker, Educational Assistant or Educational Support Diploma from an accredited program;<p> OR <p> <p> 3 or 4-year university degree in Child Development, Sociology, Psychology or a related discipline. <p><p> <p>REQUIREMENTS: <p><p> The successful candidate must submit a current VS-CPIC, at own expense , prior to starting employment;<p> The successful candidate must submit a copy of applicable educational qualifications (certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.), prior to starting employment;<p> <p> <p> The successful candidate must submit other documentation deemed relevant.<p><p> <p>MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION WITH APPLICATION: <p><p> Cover Letter - must address the qualifications outlined; <p> Resume.<p><p><p>Submit all mandatory documentation to hr.recruitment@oneida.on.ca <p>Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are ONLY accepting electronic copies at this time. <p><p> <p><p> All applications will be screened according to the above qualifications, including a full and complete application as requested. <p> Only those selected for interview will be contacted. <p> A registered member of a First Nation as per Section 16(1) of the Human Rights Act, is preferred.<p> Oneida Nation is committed to workplace diversity and provides accommodations to applicants with disabilities throughout our hiring process.
