*What you?ll do:*
Human Resources Advisor provide support to the retail on a broad variety of HR activities. The scope of the duties may include recruitment, talent management, training and development, health and safety, labour/employee relations, total rewards, and the administration and support of payroll and employee information.
· Responsible for the recruitment process including the creation of postings, review of candidate pool, short-listing, pre-screens, interviews, reference checks, and offers. Advise Team Leaders on the recruitment process and provide recommendations on the most qualified applicants
· Lead, administer and coordinate employee programs. Administer and advise on both paid and unpaid leaves of absence (Long Term disability and short term sick leave, Maternity leave, Educational leave, compassionate leave, personal leave, etc). Audit and follow-up on performance reviews, provide supervisors with advice on performance review delivery and issues/concerns, working directly with employees providing advice/guidance.
· Provide coaching and assistance with the disciplinary process, formulating disciplinary communication, advice on disciplinary meetings, and involvement in disciplinary meetings when required. Assist and co-ordinate with Team Leaders in relation to the grievance procedure. Lead and conduct investigations, which include conducting employee interviews/meetings, record keeping, and follow up documentation to ensure transparency throughout the process (often for sensitive and complex issues such as harassment).
· Develop strategies on safety programs and initiatives. Assist supervisors/managers on the administration of WCB claims and provide assistance with creating return to work programs.
· Development and revision for both management and non-management job profiles. Communication to employees where changes to position, title or leader occur. Advise on interpretation for compensation practice and placement as per policy. Advise and administer on pension and benefits, retirements, leave of absences, LTD claims, salary adjustments, etc.
· Provide coaching and support to team leaders and team members on all aspects of talent management practices, including goal setting, performance management, talent development, succession planning, onboarding, and exiting employees. Facilitates the Performance Supports business planning with client groups and utilizes KPI?s to inform business decision making as it relates to Talent. Conduct benefits orientation for all team members and team leaders.
*Who you are:*
· Degree or Diploma, with a preference for Business
· 1+ years of relevant experience
· CPHR designation is an asset.
