*The opportunity:*
The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, MDR-Main is responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, preparation, sterilization, assembly, testing and storage of reusable patient care supplies and equipment; performing inventory control functions; completing the necessary testing and maintenance of the MDR equipment, and performing other related duties as assigned.
The position provides excellent customer service to all and must have a good overall understanding of Clinic and College policies to appropriately meet the needs of College instructors, students, and patients. Also, due to high volumes, this position requires the ability to multi-task with speed and accuracy, as patient care and clinic operations are directly affected.
*The qualifications and experience we?re looking for:*
* Successful completion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program from any of the recognized MDR courses and three years of experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Department is preferred. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
