Come grow with us!POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Project Manager - ERP System is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the City of Maple Ridge. This role encompasses overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals, managing resources, and delivering the project on time, within scope, and budget. Responsibilities include implementing effective project management practices across scope, schedule, budget, governance, resource allocation, and risk management. This involves coordinating procurement and vendor selection, understanding departmental workflows through data collection and collaboration, and managing human resources to support project execution. The role also includes leading and motivating project teams, managing changes, assessing and mitigating risks, fostering transparency, and monitoring outcomes. This role is also accountable for implementing continuous improvement strategies, providing regular updates to stakeholders, maintaining comprehensive project documentation, and facilitating clear communication internally and externally.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEThe knowledge, skills, and experience required for this job are usually obtained through a recognized bachelor?s degree in in information technology, business administration, computer science, or a related field, along with 5 years of project management experience focused on ERP systems. This should include substantial experience in the development and implementation of an ERP system, or an equivalent combination of directly related education, training, and experience. This also includes demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, as well as experience working with ERP software. Acceptable combinations of education and experience may be considered for this position.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESConsiderable knowledge of project management methods, practices, and procedures Thorough understanding of ERP systems, including their architecture, modules, and integration Strong understanding of change management principles and practices, and the ability to manage organizational change and ensure smooth adoption of the ERP system Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information, conduct thorough research, and develop data-driven recommendations Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders, demonstrated through effective communication and influencing abilities Proven skills in budget and schedule management, scope and risk management, delegation, and prioritization Strong organizational abilities, including planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and executing project assignments Effective problem-solving skills and decision-making skills that yield solution-oriented results with the ability to critically evaluate and creatively overcome project challenges Ability to gather project requirements and translate these into a viable project scope of work Capability to manage and monitor project performance, including managing the performance of vendors Familiarity with IT infrastructure and integration issues related to ERP systems, with understanding of database management and software development Proficiency in leading, mentoring, and developing cross functional teams and facilitating collaboration Excellent interpersonal and communications skills demonstrated through the ability to facilitate, mediate, network, research, analyze and resolve issues, while managing stakeholder expec
