*Part 2. Job Information*
*Position Title: Baker Helper*
*Job Category: *Manufacturing/Food Service
*Skill Level: *Entry Level
*Qualification: *
High school or equivalent diploma. Experience working in a bakery an asset. Basic understanding of manufacturing practices. Multitasking skills and willing to learn a must. Ability to use English for practical communications purposes. FoodSafe Level 1 certification required . WHMIS training an asset
*Location of Work: * Boys Road, Duncan, British Columbia
*Type of Employment: *Full Time Permanent/ Will consider a student
*Job Summary:* Baker Helpers support the rest of the baking team in as many ways as possible, assists in production from start (mixing) to finish (baking), including but not limited to ingredients scaling, preparation, dough shaping, follows quality assurance, food safe, and work safe policies and procedures and inventory rotation practices.
*Reports To: *Head Baker
*Hours of work: *EarlyMorning shift - Monday - Friday
*Compensation (starting): *$ 17.40 - 19.40
*Holidays: *4% of each pay towards vacation pay
*Part 3. Duties and Competencies*
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
*1*. Following standard recipes accurately, including measuring ingredients and scaling of ingredients.
*2. *Assisting with preparation, dough mixing, decorating, and baking
*3.* Keeping bakery equipment and utensils clean to maximize efficiency
*4.* Assisting in stock rotation and transfer ingredients as per the direction of senior bakers
*5.* Operating bakery equipment efficiently and safely, and maintaining it in good order
*6*. Contributing to continuous improvement.

Willing to learn, Dependability, Reliability, Integrity, Strong work ethic. Attention to detail, Organization
*Other Considerations: *Must be able to routinely lift to 50Lb. Must be able to stand, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during long shift. Must be tolerant to heat and flour dust.

Pay: $17.40-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ? 40 per week
