Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Manufacture. Rural area. Tasks: Assign engineering projects to engineers or other technical workers . Consult with clients to determine project needs. Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets. Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and control budget and expenditures. Plan and organize daily operations. Provide detailed information and guidance to clients on project analysis and design. Review engineering projects to approve or recommend changes . Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Authorize the development of specifications for products or services. Evaluate technical designs and engineering work. Oversee the analysis of data and information. Oversee the preparation of reports. Advise senior management. Develop risk management plans. Leading/instructing groups. Conduct performance reviews. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies. Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities. Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales. Conduct research into cost, properties of production materials and methods of production. Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements. Offer mentoring. Prepare reports for senior management. Advise project teams . Supervision: 16-20 people. Industrial processes and biological studies: Product development. Technical or specialized writing: Information literature. Area of work experience: Project management. Testing and evaluation. Area of specialization: Technical support. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation.
