<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Position Details: </strong></p><p><strong> </strong>• Permanent, Full-time</p><p>• On-Site</p><p>• Schedule: Monday to Friday</p><p>• Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.</p><p>• NOC Code: 10011 Occupational Health & Safety Manager</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Head Office, Cornwall Road, Oakville, ON</p><p><strong>Su</strong><strong>mm</strong><strong>ar</strong><strong>y</strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>Reporting to the President & CEO, the <strong>Health & Safety Manager</strong> will develop and execute health and safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety. Your role is to create a safe work environment and minimize hazards to protect employees from occupational risks. Monitoring employee safety and prevention programs in alignment with legislations, best practices, and departmental and organizational goals and objectives.</p><p><strong> T</strong><strong>he primary responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p><p>• Ensure ongoing maintenance of ISO 45001 certification, complete WSIB Excellence Program Topics.</p><p>• Keeps up to date with any relevant changes to health and safety legislation and communicates these changes effectively to the intended audience in a timely manner.</p><p>• Ensures the H&S training needs for all positions within the company are identified, in particular as they relate to compliance with internal expectations and legal requirements.</p><p>• Responsible for compiling company's health & safety statistics & KPI data.</p><p>• Leads incident investigations of all H&S related incidents and near misses within the company utilizing formal tools to identify root causation and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.</p><p>• Oversee WSIB Modified Work & RTW Programs.</p><p>• Conducting Monthly Facility inspections & creating Safety Bulletins & Notices.</p><p>• Conduct periodic site inspections throughout the GTA.</p><p>• Co-Chair the JHSC Meetings and participate in other applicable safety meetings.</p><p>• Assist staff to implement and adhere to company health & safety program and policy.</p><p>• Assist in evaluating hazardous conditions and practices, develops hazard control practices and programs.</p><p>• Development of the company's specific safe work practices and safe work procedures.</p><p>• Guide and assist employees at various locations with any safety and health concerns.</p><p>• Lead continuous improvement and projects in the health and safety department.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.</p><p>• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.</p><p><strong> R</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>qu</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>re</strong><strong>m</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>t</strong><strong>s / Qualifications: </strong></p><p><strong> A</strong><strong>cademic Training:</strong></p><p>• BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field.</p><p>• Occupational Health and Safety Diploma, certificate program, or related professional designation (ASP/CSP) is an asset.</p><p><strong> Work Experience:</strong></p><p>• 4+ Years of proven experience as Health & Safety manager preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Knowledge of the sign industry is an asset.</p><p><strong>Specific Competencies:</strong></p><p>• Deep understanding of OHS Act and Reg
