Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Mandarin. Cantonese. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Administer medications. Conduct specimen collection. Ensure infection control. Monitor nutritional intake. Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas. Take vital signs. Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy. Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Acute care nursing Certificate. Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work. Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination. CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Tuberculosis test. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding.
