Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Refrigerated. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Bondable. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding.
