Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Prepare floors for installations. Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies. Notify supervisor or repairers of mechanical malfunctions. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Experience: Will train. Health benefits: Dental plan. Financial benefits: Life insurance. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
