Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Nursing home/home for the aged. Public or community health centre. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Maintain inventory of supplies. Transport patients between care facilities. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Health Care Aide Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Walking. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Health benefits: Dental plan.
