Responsibilities
Tasks

Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
-
May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
-
Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens

Prepare research papers for publication and presentation

Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases

Supervise laboratory activities

Act as consultants to other physicians

Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
