Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Assist manager in the implementation of safety programs. Evaluate safety programs. Examine plans, drawings and site layouts. Plan safety programs. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public. Inspect construction of building and engineering construction. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes. Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulation. Enforce steel and concrete installation codes. Inspect construction of sewer systems and pipelines. Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Inspect and provide reports on condition of new or resale homes.
