Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store. Tasks: Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery. Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom. Direct customers to location of articles sought. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items. Maintain computerized stock inventory. Record incoming stock. Stock shelves and display areas. Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list. Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting. Fill mail or electronic orders from warehouse stock. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
