Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Oversee production . Set machine or equipment controls. Design plant layouts and production facilities. Develop computer applications for machines and processes. Collect and analyze data and samples. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Read blueprints and drawings. Estimate costs and materials. Program CNC machine tools. Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM. Programming software. Computer-aided design (CAD). AutoCAD. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Area of specialization: Millwork. Cabinets. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads.
