Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Dusty. Extremely cold. Wet/damp. Noisy. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Ground Disturbance - Level II program. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Type of industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction. Oil and Gas Well Sites. Residential construction. Telecommunication and communications. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required. Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
