Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Other miscellaneous crop farming. Outdoors. All weather conditions. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Cut agricultural crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Dose water saturation, light and temperature as instructed for crop growth and development. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Hand harvesting vegetables. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Mixing fertilizer. Monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns. Pack fruits and vegetables. Seed cutting. Sort fruits and vegetables. Write daily basic progress reports. Clean work area. Fertilize and spray crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Type of crops: Apples. Blueberries. Cherries. Vegetables. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Organized.
