Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Analyze market research data to improve business decisions or activities . Assist in product development. Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes. Develop communication strategies. Direct the marketing strategies of establishments. Direct the production of educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter. Direct the team on crucial information they should gather and research. Establish distribution networks for products and services . Evaluate an organization's Internet presence. Evaluate the marketing strategies used by establishments. Oversee the preparation of written material for website content. Review written material, such as reports, briefs, speeches, presentations and press releases. Supervise staff. Develop promotional materials. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Manage contracts. Market business services. Plan and control budget and expenditures. Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations. Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services. Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies. Answer written and oral inquiries. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material. Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys. Initiate and maintain contact with the media. Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions. Prepare sports, literary, performance or other contracts. Maintain and manage digital database.
