*Key Qualifications*
Not only are you adept with Excel, have a high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize, you are exceptional at communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Other important attributes that you possess include:
* *Direct working experience with Sage 300 (critical to succeeding in this role)*
* *A minimum of 2 years of hands on Accounting or Bookkeeping experience*
* *Experience in the distribution business of imported products will be considered an asset*
*A Sample of Typical Weekly Responsibilities*
As a key member of our Accounting team, around 45% of your time may be spent focused on inventory receipts, another 45% on customer billing, and about 10% may be spent on other administrative support tasks. Weekly duties may consist of the following:
* Matching vendors? packing lists to vendors? invoices, in preparation for receiving goods into inventory system
* Obtaining freight-in and/or brokerage charges from various carriers for the purpose of determining landed costs of goods
* Posting invoices to Accounts Payable transactions, post and e-mail invoices, resolve any enquiries
* Keep track of all payments and expenditures, pay vendors by scheduling cheques, EFT and credit card payments
* Assist in Accounts Receivable collections, and organize and maintain Accounts Receivable filing system
* Perform customer billing through our Order Entry module
* Bank and credit card reconciliations
* Assist in year end inventory
