Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Tasks: Advise press crew on product specifications or material requirements . Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments. Prepare production schedules. Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and quantities required. Fill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity. Plan production methods. Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples. Monitor regular press run for quality using computer control console. Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run. Direct press crew to set up, operate and shut down press. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate.
