Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property. Schedule work. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Lawn care. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
