Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Day care centre or nursery school. Tasks: Assess the children's development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Child development worker (ECE level 2). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Team player. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for newcomers and refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees .
