*Boundary Electric is seeking dedicated and motivated Welder Helpers to join our team!!* Welder Helpers will play a crucial role in assisting welders with their tasks, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and safely. The position involves a variety of support tasks, including operating the metal band saw and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. *Key functions*: · Assist Welders o Support welders in fitting and welding metal parts by preparing materials, tools, and equipment. o Hold or position materials in place during welding operations. o Assist in the setup of welding machines and other equipment. · Operate Metal Band Saws o Safely and efficiently operate metal band saws to cut metal parts according to specifications. o Ensure precise measurements and cuts to support the welding process. o Perform routine maintenance on the band saws to ensure optimal performance. · Maintain Production Schedule o Work closely with the welding team to ensure that production schedules are met. o Quickly respond to the needs of welders to minimize the downtime and maintain workflow. o Assist in the movement and staging of materials as required. · Safety o Participate in conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) as required. o Identify and communicate hazards to team leads and/or management. o Adheres to the BEL Health & Safety Program. o Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. · Other o Assist with other tasks as directed by the Team Lead or Manager. *Special Requirements:* · Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment. · Strong safety mindset. · Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials. · Able to work in all outdoor weather conditions. · Ability to execute tasks. · Able to work full time. *Company Description* Boundary Electric is a well-established electrical company located in Grand Forks, BC.
