Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Sheet metal shop. Tasks: Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Document work completed. Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Brakes. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Forming. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Tools. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication.
