Aggregate data will be stored anonymously to support improvements to the Board?s hiring processes.<p> <p>General Description of Duties: <p>Reporting to the Manager of Supply Services, the Purchasing Officer is responsible for all supply functions in assigned commodity areas using the most efficient, effective, and appropriate procurement methods. The Purchasing Officer multi-tasks while manages several client driven supply projects and acts as a designated purchasing agent of the Board.<p> <p> <p>M inimum Requirements: <p><p> 4-year post-secondary degree in General Business or Materials Management and Operations or relevant previous Supply Chain Management experience preferably with a public sector agency<p> Completion of the Supply Chain Canada - CPP or SCMP designation or National Institute of Governmental Purchasing - CPPB or CPPO designation<p> Five years progressive experience in a complex public purchasing environment <p> Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions<p> Strong skills in the use of technology including MS365 products, MS TEAMS<p> Solid decision-making skills and outstanding judgment, including discretion in the management of confidential information<p> Ability to self-motivate and to work both independently and with teams, with high personal standards representative of the Board?s commitment to excellence<p> Experience with meeting deadlines, streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively<p> Strong problem solving, analytical and investigative research skills<p> <p> Desirable Assets: <p> <p> Knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV<p> Knowledge of social procurement practices in the public sector<p><p> <p>Salary Range: PASS Level 8: $86,920.00 - $102,261.00 per year in accordance with the PASS Terms of Employment.<p> <p>Hours of Work : Permanent full-time based on 35 hours per week/52 weeks per year <p> <p>Location(s): Catholic Education Centre; 35 Weber St. Kitchener<p> <p> <p>Qualified applicants are invited to submit a resume and covering letter.
