laundry supervisor

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Be the point of contact when in need to handle emergency situations. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Monitor quality and production levels. Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items. Prepare and submit progress and other reports. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Wash or dry-clean industrial or household articles. Establish work schedules and procedures. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Supervision: Dry cleaning and laundry workers. Laundry workers. Equipment and machinery experience: Dryers. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Client focus.
