To achieve this, we are looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for welcoming new immigrant clients and assisting them with their initial needs and personal affairs. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by new immigrants.
*Job description*
Job title: Administrative Assistant
Nature: Full-time/ Part-time permanent
Wage: $16-20/ hours

*Key Responsibilities:*
*1. *Greet and Welcome Clients: Meet new immigrant clients upon their arrival in Canada, providing a warm and friendly welcome to help them feel comfortable and supported.
2. Personal Affairs Assistance:
l Help clients set up bank accounts.
l Assist in obtaining health insurance and understanding healthcare options.
l Guide clients through the process of finding housing, including renting apartments or buying homes.
l Provide information on obtaining Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) and other necessary documentation.
3. Resource Coordination: Provide clients with information about local resources, including public transportation, schools, community centers, and language classes.
4. Employment Assistance:
l Assist clients in preparing resumes and job applications.
l Provide guidance on local job markets and employment practices.
l Connect clients with job placement services and networking opportunities.
5. Ongoing Support: Offer continued assistance as clients settle into their new environment, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
6. Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate social events and community gatherings to help clients build networks and integrate into their new community.
*Requirements:*
1. Bachelor's degree, diploma or post-diploma in Business Administration, human resources, social work or related field.
2. 2-3 years of experience in in administrative roles or customer service is required.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
4. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively, especially when dealing with clients' personal and administrative issues.
6. Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
8. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
9. Valid driver?s license and ability to drive confidently.
