Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Metal products manufacturing company. Tasks: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers. Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Load and unload vehicle. Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles. Clean work area. Load and unload vehicles using forklift or dolly. Supervision: Metal products machine operators. Equipment and machinery experience: Dolly. Lifting device. Shotblaster. Metal spray equipment. Hand tools. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
