Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Custom machine shop. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Manufacture. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Program CNC machine tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Overhead Crane Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Drilling machine. Engine lathes. Milling machines. Sawing machine. Tool grinders. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Laser levelling/aligning. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Milling. Boring. Honing. Drilling. Grinding. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Equipment: Automatic lathes. Form cutting machines. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs).
