Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Work setting: Commercial. Residential. Various locations. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Workplace information: On the road job.
