Job details
Education: Master's degree. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assess patients' physical abilities. Examine the patient. Make decisions on tests and procedures. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Confer with other health professionals. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Treat patients by the insertion of acupuncture needles or through stimulation techniques. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination. Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation) certified. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Interpersonal awareness.
