As Senior Project Manager - PIB Program, you will be responsible for the execution of specific design, procurement, and transition-to-build tasks that are part of the Program Icebreakers (PIB) Ancillary Contract. This involves developing and delivering project and task execution plans, controlling and monitoring ongoing work, and ensuring that all project management responsibilities are carried out with the support of key subcontractors and the various functional support departments, including Engineering, Planning, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Production. More specifically, you will:
* Develop project and task execution plans for design, procurement, and transition-to-build tasks in collaboration with the Davie departments (This includes developing schedules, defining deliverables, establishing roles and responsibilities, and determining budget and resource requirements).
* Support the Estimating Department in developing proposals to secure internal and client approval of project and task execution plans.
* Manage the execution of the approved projects and tasks, including delivering program management responsibilities and collaborating with other departments to solicit and support their responsibilities. This involves building strong working relationships with the functional departments to ensure that the project is appropriately staffed, both in terms of skill sets and quantity, to ensure its success.
* Work with the supply chain management team to execute solicitation processes for professional services and ship systems/equipment, monitor overall progress, and deliver program management responsibilities.
* Work with the PIB controls team to maintain project schedules and performance baselines.
* Identify, set, and monitor key performance indicators with the PIB controls Department to ensure effective project delivery, including overseeing scope, schedule, and cost performance.
* Manage projects and tasks on a daily and weekly basis, including tactical-level planning and action management.
* Develop short-term tactical plans to address emerging work/issues and subsequently execute them in collaboration with project directors.
* Work with the Supply Chain and Engineering Departments as a manager of key subcontractors (design agent, classification society).
* Support the development of project-specific processes and ensure they are respected.
* Support the change management process by engaging the necessary stakeholders and delivering program management responsibilities pertaining to the process.
* Support and participate in client relationship management, including leading communications and client meetings/workshops, managing change, as well as identifying and negotiating new scope of work.
* Lead and ensure the timely delivery of documentation required by the program management team (meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, weekly/monthly/quarterly reports).
* Support project leadership in internal executive and company-wide briefings and communications. This includes developing and presenting materials to a broad audience.
* Execute the risk/opportunity management process for assigned projects and tasks. This includes identifying and defining risks, and developing and managing their mitigation/achievement plans.
* Support the Program Director in managing and maintaining a positive cash flow.
* Contribute to creating an open, positive, stimulating, and exciting working environment, supporting the team?s objectives, serenity, and determination.
* Be a team leader who promotes, discusses, and presents diversity, different opinions, and proposals to the Program Director.
* Promote a continuous improvement approach with the aim of identifying new project goals.
* Lead the project team, including both direct reports and assigned personnel from other departments, to ensure they are motivated, satisfied, loyal, and effective team members who are committed to achieving the standards and goals of the project,
