Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Hire food service staff. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Prepare budget and cost estimates. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports. Establish work schedules. Set up machines and equipment. Perform routine equipment maintenance. Order supplies and maintain inventory. Check and monitor product quality. Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales. Organize and maintain inventory. Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field. Assign personnel to equipment and routes and schedule work shifts. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication.
