Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Custom machine shop. Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Broaching machine. Drilling machine. Engine lathes. Filing machines. Honing machines. Jig grinder. Lapping machine. Milling machines. Shapers. Surface grinders. Tool grinders. Turret lathes. Laser levelling/aligning. Repetitive machining operation experience: Milling. Boring. Planing. Honing. Broaching. Drilling. Grinding. Equipment: Single purpose production machine. Automatic lathes. Screw machines. Tapping machines. Gear cutting machine. Duplicators. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required.
