Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Tasks: Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help medical examiner in charge. Help physical therapists. Set up and dismantle equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Lay out surgical instruments. Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments. Assist chiropractor with patient health education. Maintain inventory of equipment. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Organize and maintain inventory. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Office. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Experience: Experience an asset.- LocationSt. Catharines, ON
