Tasks: Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention.. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Experience: Will train. Health benefits: Dental plan. Health care plan.
