Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Assess site and terrain before operations. Assist forestry workers. Drive heavy equipment to perform a combination of felling, slashing, bucking, bunching and forwarding operations. Operate a variety of machines which perform a combination of slashing, bucking, chipping, sorting and loading logs or trees. Operate machines to transport trees from logging areas to landing or log loading sites in mountainous terrain. Assist other logging workers. Write daily basic progress reports. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
