*No previous medical experience is required for this position. *A Medical Office Assistant diploma would be an asset, but is not required. Dominion Medical Centres is hiring a full time Patient Care Coordinator for our South West Edmonton location.
*The Individual*
We are looking for an extraordinary individual who has experience working in a *medical, retail, call centre *or *office environment*. As the face of the company, the individual will become part of a team that is essential in providing outstanding patient-centered care. The candidate should possess superior customer service skills as well as excellent communication and listening skills. The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, challenging environment is crucial.
*The Position*
Located at our reception desk, the Patient Care Coordinator is the key connection between patients and physicians. The position requires the management of a high volume of phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient/clinic communication and a variety of other administrative office tasks. The Patient Care Coordinator ensures the efficient, professional operation of the clinic.
*Areas of responsibility include:*
* Greeting patients as the enter the clinic
* Answering incoming phone calls
* Processing incoming documents and accurately indexing them to patient files
* Utilization of our Electronic Medical Record software
* Performing a variety of general administrative tasks
*Qualifications/Skills Required:*
* Strong customer service skills
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize and multitask
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as a team
* 2+ years working in a medical, retail, administrative or office environment
